Hello dear readers
“For a long time, I thought something was wrong with me.”
Everyone around me seemed to know exactly where they were going. And there I was, quietly on the edges, feeling like I was watching everyone else speak a language I had never quite learned.
I wasn’t unhappy in a way that’s easy to explain. I was doing fine, by most measures. But fine, I’ve learned, can be one of the loneliest feelings in the world, because it gives you no real reason to fall apart, and no permission to want more.
What I did have, underneath all the noise, was this quiet, persistent pull toward making things. Toward purpose. Toward meaning. Toward doing things slowly and with my whole self, not because they were productive or impressive, but because they made me feel like I was actually here. Present. Alive.
The Greeks have a word for it: meraki. To pour yourself into what you do. To leave a piece of your soul in your work. When I found that word, I sat with it for a long time. Because it felt less like a discovery and more like a recognition, like finally finding the name for something I had been carrying my whole life.
This space was born from that feeling.
Not from having it all figured out. But from being somewhere in the middle, still becoming, still learning how to give myself permission to create without apology, and thinking: I can’t be the only one who feels this way.
If you’ve ever felt too much for some rooms and not enough for others if you’ve ever had a creative dream quietly living in the back of your chest, if you’ve ever wanted to live more fully but weren’t sure where to begin..
This is for you.
You don’t have to fit in anywhere to belong here. You just have to be willing to begin.
